GST Registration and it's Benefits

GST registration is a landmark tax reform, which brings a revolution in tax on goods and services. Goods & Services Act 2017 replaced the old tax named as Value Added Tax (VAT) with new features and simplification in the returning process. Goods and Services Tax in India was first suggested and came into a point of discussion in India by the late prime minister of India by Sri Atal Bihari Bajpayee. After so many discussion and analysis for a period over a decade, the government of India finally introduce and implement the GST act in 2017.

Aggregate turnover under the act includes all taxable supplies, exempt supplies, Zero-rated supplies, interstate supplies, but doesn’t include the inward taxable supplies under the Reverse Charge Mechanism.  Process of GST registration is much simpler and electronically supported. That is a major advantage for GST registration process and filing. GST or goods and services act came into use from July 2017, by replacing a number of old taxes. At the same time, the government of India introduced four types of GST bill for GST registration including central GST, Integrated GST, GST bill of Union Territories and GST bill. This tax was implemented and enacted with the aim to collect tax on behalf of the government and to avail Input Tax Credit (ITC) for the taxes on his inward supplies. The act mandates that every person who has an aggregate turnover of your than Rs 20 lakhs in the relevant financial year.

GST registration process is completely web-based. GST registration means all in one tax, i.e. so many previous taxes have included in GST like VAT, CST, Luxury tax, Excise Duty and so on. There are so many state taxes and central taxes which has gone away with the implementation of GST.
